The workshop “Ready-Set-Train: Tools for Adult Educators to Combat Stereotypes” was successfully held on October 12, 2024 at the University of Peloponnese Campus in Antikalamos. The event, which was part of the ICODECON 2024 International Conference, attracted a total of 27 participants from Greece, Italy, Spain, Romania and Malaysia.
During the workshop, participants had the opportunity to learn about the most important successes and tools of the EASY project, while the perspectives and next steps for the exploitation of the project’s products were discussed. The workshop included the practical implementation of selected activities from the EASY project toolbox, focusing on combating stereotypes and discrimination, using playful methods and using films and comics as a starting point that sets the scene of these activities for the discussion on stereotypes.
The interaction and interest of adult educators, staff and managers of adult education organisations and other stakeholders was remarkable. Through the workshop, participants discovered the EASY package, which promotes equal opportunities, access, inclusion, diversity and equity in training environments.
