The participants are going to identify the characters of 4 personas from the series, by relating to 3 factors:
– Characteristics per role (personas)
– Writing a short paragraph about each one of them
– Thorough collaborative process and guided discussion, the trainer will encourage the participants to identify their own linguistic representations of stereotypes and categorizations of social groups.
Trainees are invited through their engagement in a group carousel activity to express their views, understand the cognitive process that results in a certain interpretation of stereotypes of age and then question their own assumptions with the aim to move forward.
The trainees are guided to clear their minds and through a playful and imaginative process are gradually guided to focus upon the aspects of invisibility, which people of 3rd age are constantly dealing with. Invisibility is treated as both negative and positive aspect. Participants are guided to imagine themselves in situations where “invisibility” of 3rd age is considered as both negative and positive outcome that they meet on their daily basis.
